Reproduction Air Force Officer
There is a poor quality air force officer on E that the seller insists is authentic and real, etc. I don't usually say something is a fake; maybe it has problems or is open to debate, etc. However, this is a fake, no doubt; poor quality 1950's or 1960's pullover with added on fake collar tabs and repro rank insignia. No sleeve insignia, modern belt, etc. This one is not even close.
DD PS-The seller said I should mind my own business and I did not know what I was talking about after i sent him a very polite e-mail saying that in case he did not know he was offering a repro uniform for sale. |

The collar should be up, not down as "Mao" shirts. That makes it a fake, and also, the fabric is not what I commonly see on this kind of uniforms.

Esteban_cool,
Actually the collar should be down. The insignia are fake but are meant to be M1935 style. M1935 tunics had a fold-down collar. This was replaced by the upright collar on the M1943. The tunic shown here is a post war M1943 tunic which has been modified by an amateur tailor to make the collar fold down. In 1943 some soldiers even wore M1943 insignia on M1935 tunics with the collar-tabs still folded down. This was of course an ad hoc measure until proper tunics were issued. Shawn |

Is at least the red banner and/or the Guards badge original?
