French-Soviet medal?

Hi!

I found this medal on a polish garbage with many Third Reich and early PRL pins, bucklets and other. I cant' find any information about it. Please help :)

I don't speak French, but it looks like "Marshal Stalin" and "Honor to the Glorious Red Army".

It looks like maybe it was done by French communists or some kind of WWII issue in support of allies(?).

Actually, I seem to remember having seen one like this before, quite a few years ago.
I'd say that, as Paul mentioned, it is some sort of support medal put out by the PCF (French Communist Party).

It's quite possible, after IIWW many Polish miners came from France, maybe some of them were Soviet sypmpathics. One of my friends said that it could be medal from Normandie-Niemen unit, what do you think?

Yes, I agree, this is not a veteran pin. There would be some allusion to an aircraft or the unit's Order of Nevsky. If made after the 50's there probably wouldn't be the glorification of Stalin either.
