Order of Merit for the Socialist Nation / Szocialista Hazáért Érdemrend

Not documented, but with a newspaper clipping (undated) in the box:

"ERNŐ NAGY, awardee of 'Order for the Socialist Nation', who had been a member of the [Hungarian Socialist Workers”] Party since 1928, died at the age of 74. The cremation and the memorial event afterwards will take place in the Pesterzsébet cemetery on the 20th of September at 3pm. - XX. District Committee of the Hungarian Socialist Workers' Party."

Here is another example of the Socialist Nation Merit Order. It was created in 1966 and was awarded 9516 times on 1st May 1967. It was not awarded again and cancelled in 1968.

You'll notice the 1950-1950ies small certificates have a thick red cardboard cover. Beware of red paint, in some conditions of moisture, it reacts, becaomes instable and leaves stains!
