Medal "For Valiant Labour During The Great Patriotic War 1941-1945".
Yes, this document looks normal in every sense of the word... except for the fact that the medal is "For Meritorius Labor During WWII" and the award date is 1995...

Very interesting!
It could be a re-issue medal. I can't believe anyone will try to fake a document for this medal. Also look at the stamp - with the RUSSIAN symbol - which indicate - maybe - that this is a re-issue, done on an old Soviet document. Tal |

1995 was the fifty year anniversary of the GPW, perhaps these were made specifically for this event? similar to jubilee issue of the Order of the PW in 1985?

Yes, it definitely could be a commemorative one. In fact, that's what I thought... until I saw this document. Now what I think is that it is either a reissue, or given to someone who did deserve the award but was never given it...

Mahdi,
I would think it would have been issued like a labor commemorative for anyone who was alive and working in the GPW. Similar to the very easy requirements for the Jubilee issue of the Order of the GPW. Interesting though..

Is this an epidemy? Interestingly enough they come with the same medals the Umalatova and Co are still issuing.

And the fact that they use the Soviet award certificates...there must be a HUGE amount of Soviet era paper documents. Otherwise, it is to be expected that a Russian document or letter will be used. (BTW, I have some members of my family, which live in Israel, and still have Russian citizenship. However, the travell to Russia and use their SOVIET passports, with a stamp from the Russian embassy in Tel Aviv, extending the passport's validity...).

Tal,
This is just a guess, but I don't believe these are Soviet. Soviet documents had a picture of the medal printed on the left side. Alexei |

Medal "For Valiant Labour During The Great Patriotic War 1941-1945".
Later and more scarce variation of the Document for the Medal for Valiant Labor awarded to Ivan N. Rozhkov, dated February 10th, 1994, serial #AA580796.
