Patriotic War II,0596532,Gun Section Commander,1237th Army Cannon-Artillery Regiment

Here is Patriotic War II #596532. Three replaced arms of enamel and a fiddled with hammer and sickle but research propels it far beyond that.

This is just about the most northern ground combat zone during the entirety of the war. The area of combat was right next to the Norwegian border and part of the Red Army's push to Kirkenes, almost at the 70th parallel. Any combat further north was done in the sea or air.

For those who are not so familiar with the most Northern Front in history - hundreds and thousands of miles north of more famous battles of the war (over 1,500 miles north of Stalingrad for example and 800 miles north of Leningrad).

It will have been cold, dark and exceptionally difficult on logistics.
