Comrade Gutsaljuk, recognised in his responsibilities to prepare for the latest, speedy battle, for the period of preparation for the latest operations, showed executive care for preparing the staff, people, materiel, transport and performance of combat tasks. Personally he has conducted all the supply and equipping of the personal staff, corrected all malfunctions in transport, promoted the enhancement of the equine staff.
In the period of bitter battle on the near approaches to Berlin, starting from 20-04-1945 and battle for Berlin, Comrade Gutsaljuk as Starshina of the battery, provided timely supplies to the battery uninterruptedly, delivering them directly into battle. Not infrequently delivering to the forward firing positions. All personal staff, are tended to systematically. With fatherly care Comrade Gutsaljuk 3 times a day brought hot food. By all these measures Comrade Gutsaljuk contributed to the performance of combat tasks assigned to the battery.

Conclusion: Comrade Gutsaljuk is worthy of award of the Order "Patriotic War 1st Class"
