Re: Glory III,Deputy platoon leader/3rd Ukrainian Front/Catch-up,757389
I believe the town listed is not Kraków (this one is in Poland ant I doubt they would make a mistake like this), there's a settlment of Krakov in the central Czech Republic, it could be it (it does, however, make me wander why is there aletter "g" - for "gorod" before the name.

Re: Glory III,Deputy platoon leader/3rd Ukrainian Front/Catch-up,757389
Patrick,
:thumbsup Nice medal. I also have a soldier book with wrong awarding dates. This happens from time to time. Writing mistakes and so on.... In my case, the award time for Glory 3rd class is given as 10/1942 in the soldier book and it was awarded in 10/1944 due to the papers from Padolsk. A writing mistake. best regards from Cologne Andreas |

Likewise, I've seen wrong Fronts, wrong unit designations, impossible dates, etc. all caused by faulty records, memories, clerks, or a combination of the above.
