Hello all you expert dudes, I wish that this one was mine but it isn't. It belongs to a fine gent who has asked me to post it to see if it is real. It would be greatly appreciated if you would kindly do this.:thumbsup

It was bought in 1995 and is constructed in two pieces. There is a barely noticeable line that shows where the two pieces come together.

IMHO, the medallion is good, the suspension is most likely not. I can see at least three replaced links in the chain, possibly more.

No, that is not it. I can't tell anything from what you show. Please post a full scan of obverse and reverse.

There are no tricks or secrets, it's all very simple. All you need to do is find an area packed with little tiny details and compare it to the same are of a known good piece in the same serial number range. The first thing I look in an Ushakov medal is the star, than the wreath, especially the berries, than the anchor, the serial number, etc.

Does it have all original parts including the chain ?
