Here is a rather strangely worn unnumbered example.

Awarded to Lev Pavlovich Il'menskij and issued on 19th December 1951.

A complete dead end when it comes to research although it would very much seem to be a 10 year Long Service award after being conscripted in the early stage of the war.

Most probable that it originally was on a red-ribbon, rectangular suspension.

Many, if you look through the Researched Medals "For Combat Merits"

Here is the closest - For Combat Merits,0436965,Platoon Commander,608th Separate Cable-Post Company.

It may or may not have been issued on a rectangle, personally I would lean to not as it was probably awarded in late 1943.

I do know someone who offers a research service.....
