There are actually at least two variations of this one and I'll post photos of them when I've had a good night's sleep and get home at a reasonable hour (hopefully tomorrow).
I have no idea if one is "more real" than the other but the finishes are quite different. This is why I normally don't scan medals - that and the fact that my scanner sucks - so please excuse the picture and focus troubles.:) Aside from the thick gold wash on the one on the left, differences in the medals include the specific date of the first invasion of Chechnya (11 December 1994), text variations on the reverse and a "shiny" version of the ribbon (left) opposed to a more traditional ribbon material. I have posted one of these somewhere else before and it has been established that this is not an official state issue medal, but we have all seen much worse contemporary RF medals. And here is the blank document I have. As I said before, I used to have a "thing" for Chechnya awards - regardless of origin.
