Jubilee Badges Of The Moscow Committee Of Veterans Of War.

Hi guys,
Here is something I just got. I am told it is an official issue very rare and it is serial numbered on the reverse #112. Anyone else seen this one yet? It comes in a cheap plastic holder/case smaller but similar to the one my 60 years of Victory Jubilee Medal came in.

This is a good one!

It's one of 3 medals made at the mint but not an official Russian Federation award.

From what I understan this and 2 others with simmilar motif were handed out by some veteran organization.

Is it for sale? I'm interested!

Rusty.

Hi Christophe,
The scanner doesn't pick it up too well so I shot it with my camera. It is better but hard to get sharp with this camera. It is to the right of the mintmark under the word Victory.
Mon Scanner ne le prends pas bien, J'ai fait une photo sur lequel le numero parait mieux a la droite du "mintmark" sous le mot Victoire.

Hi Guys,
Unfortunately there was no document with the medal.
Malheureusement pas de document avec la medaille.
Yeah I am a bilingual Canadian of Acadian descent from southeastern New Brunswick.
A mes confreres Francais je suis un Canadien bilingue de descente Acadienne dans le sud-est du Nouveau Brunswick.:)

I agree a document would have been great and the next time I am in touch with the dealer I got this one from I will make inquiries first as to whether or not he can get more, second whether he can find them with a document. One can always hope!!!!!

Still have not found out the issuing organization. I am however told that the issue was of 500 pieces! I am also informed I can get documents but my source cannot say if they are blanks or not until he receives them.

Awards Of Moscow Committee Of Veterans Of War.

Alright,

I was pointed in the right direction and this is what I found:

By the decision of the Moscow committee of veterans of war from April, 12, 2005 in honour of the 60-anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War a set of anniversary medals is issued:

Circulation of each medal - from 200 to 500 pieces.
They are made on Moskovsk the Mint.

The complete set consists of:

For victory over Germany
Partisan of Patriotic War
For clearing Ukraine of German aggressors
For capture of Berlin
For defense of Moscow
For defense of Leningrad
For defense of Stalingrad
For defense of Caucasus
For defense of Polar Region
For defense of Odessa
For defense of Sevastopol
For capture of Vienna
For capture of Budapest
For capture of Konigsberg
For clearing of Warsaw
For clearing of Prague
For clearing of Belgrade
For clearing of Crimea

Heres the doc to the medal we discussed earlier:
