Maternal Glory.

I find it very interesting: there are many variations of the order of maternal glory, but this is - in my view - the most interesting. the BABY is very thin in the first picture:

In the 2nd picture, the baby is more chubby, happier, and his mother looks happier also:

In the 3rd picture, the baby is a real fat, and his mother got bigger (perhaps to be able to carry him...). I wonder if some minister saw the poor looking baby and put the matter to the presidium of the supreme soviet.

Maternal Glory.

Has anyone out there seen Order of Maternal Glory Medals AND military ODM (to the same woman)?

I saw one group for sale at MAX that COULD have possibly been a military associated grouping, but was unable to purchase it at that time. IIRC it had a Order of Maternal Glory 3C, Order of Badge of Honor and something else (I wanna say a Red STar but I cannot remember so don't quote me on that). There were also three campaigns...one was for Stalingrad, and I think, IIRC, one of the others was a Victory Over Germany. There were also some docus and some photos.

Maternal Glory.

Hi, I recently bought a Wonderful Mother Heroine group. Award books for the two medals, all three for the orders and the big gramota for the Mother Heroine order, and of course all medals /orders issued to a Latvian woman.
Now I just wonder how scarce are theese groups ?

All the best from Swedish Autuum !

Christer,

Complete groups are hard to find, and a group with all 6 medals, documents and a box for the MH Star can cost up to $500.

Hi
The order of motherhood are given in three classes, all have variations without mintmarks. The third class even two variations, one gilded letters and one not.

What is the rarety rating on the motherhood orders without mintmark. I haven´t seen them around to much. What is the price range on these orders.

How many have you seen? Please post replies a s a p.

Hi,

I saw several medals without MM, most were lower serial numbers. I saw no premium asked for them.

Sovvisor,

Sorry for being vague, I saw several medals(2nd and 3rd Class') on eBay with no premium asked. One seller from Former S.U. was selling all 5 medals (2w/o MM) for $50 a while back.

Hope I was more helpfull,

Rusty.

Gentlemen,

check out this side-by-side comparison of the Order of Maternal Glory 3rd class Type 1 Var. 1 and Type 2 Var. 3.

Although the 926 looks messed with, but I cannot understand what the original number was... 976?

Nice

Eric
