Badge "25 Years Of Cosmonaut Training Centre J. A. Gagarin".
I think I've seen this one, but without the 50 with the wreth on the ribbob.
Medals's made to commemorate 25 years of the establishment of the Space Cosmonaut Training Center and Space City in Russia in 1960 with the name of Yuri Gagarin. The medal is heavy gold plated and has a special blue ribbon with a bar with the digits 25 and a laurel leaf underneath. Obverse shows an astronaut in a free space flight with stars around him. This medal has been presented to an extremely limited number of staff, astronauts and other high ranking officials. Scarce space exploration military / militaria collector piece and one of the rare Russian medals. William |
