Yes,it´s a "State security badge"! The badge was issued in threee classes...but...I don´t know which class "your" badge is! :(

Your badge is the 1st class issue (gold rays). 2nd class has silver rays and 3rd class is all brass. By the way, if you are interested in getting rid of it I would be interested in negotiations.

Hello Tom, I didn't buy it. When I first put the pictures on the forum I didn't even know what was this badge.

I agree with Eric about the Yugo "vibe" and the completely non-committal, unaffiliated simplicity with nothing to make any statement other than a star and what might be hints of banners around it.

Yugoslavian awards generally lacked much in the way of symbolism, but if I had to guess, I'd say this was a very watered-down propaganda pin that someone could wear in public without any great fear of inciting any feelings whatsoever.:rolleyes:

If it's pinback, I would say it's NOT Yugoslavian. Even their cap badges and the majority of lapel pins were screwbacks. So if it's really a full-size badge, not a lapel pin, than it's not Yugoslav to me.

hi all

I have taken some more scans of the order, it is slightly larger than a order of labour, and has a IKOM ZAGREB on the back so at least it was made in yugoslavia, on the back of the box has the name VINCEKOVIC' VJEKOSLAV
