OK, than I was wrong and it is Yugoslav. Altough up to now, I would swear Yugoslavians didn't make pinbacks. and that this attachnment device is romanian.

You must be kidding, right? There are numerous Yugoslavian later-made orders that are pinback...

Some early Yugoslav orders were either screwback or pinback with a single vertical pin later orders had a double horizontal pin.

I'm not trying to be harsh, but this bit of information about the mint marks on the reverse and the name on the box would have answered the question of origin in one post. Languages and names are an instant identifier.:rolleyes:

Since it lacks any significantly symbolic or other markings on the obverse other than the star, I still doubt it was much more than an honorary badge for something rather specific/obscure. Otherwise, there would be important dates, names, cities - something...:(
