Ironically I need badge-repair help. These guys had a rough trip in from the great white north. The post office crushed the envelope.
First, the victory statue should be attached to the viewer's right of the ship on the vets badge. The problem with the wings is obvious. It looks as though the statue was originally glued on to begin with, so glue it back on with something? Any particular suggestions? W/r/t the wings, so I try to superglue the post back, or do i solder it? |

Like Dave says I think epoxy would be right for the screwpost. I also know of one here who uses "JB weld" in very similar situations. I don't think super glue would hold the screwpost strongly enough.
But I'd try super glue on the statue, I think that would hold. I *might* consider scoring the back of the statue in two small places and use two very small smears (not even drops) of SG. I'd recommend a couple dry runs before I glued and might even have a small weight ready to lay on the statue once it's glued in place. If you try it keep us informed. I'm sure it will come in handy for someone else soon.

From the "dings" on the two arms marked by my "x" it looks like this one took quite a tumble. For reference it's an alleged 3,00x,xxx serial number.

Eric,
By the shape of it, it seems to be the right serial number range. Marc |

Weren't you looking for a 3.000.000 star for your HSU? You only have to re-etch 4 digits and you got it. Claim it was damaged during the action for which the person got the HSU. |
