Wow, is the "mini" made from brass or another much lighter metal?

Here's one of my Type 1 Hungarian Partisan Badges with a brass lapel stud miniature. The number on the reverse is hand scratched in and might correspond to the membership number or award number of the badge. I have yet to see an award booklet/paper for this early design.

This is my second Type 1 Partisan Badge. Almost coal-black with tarnish. This one also has a number hand-scratched in the reverse (446). the green "flash" is home-made from some green cloth, hand sewn over a piece of cardboard. Elvtars felt this might signify that the recipient was in an infantry unit.
