Could be the 25th anniversary badge, but I agree that the Soviet medal is the most likely.

Yes, they are quite lethal! And an interesting attachment method.

PS- And it is a shame to see how Bulgaria (like Mongolia and others) followed the unfortunate Soviet example by cheapening perfectly fine awards by giving them away simply for long service.

Here is General Dobri Dzhurov displaying a considerable Bulgarian Bar.

Not all of the awards are in the correct order of precedence but the Bulgarian awards are mainly in the correct order. It is rather interesting to see the Order Lenin directly after Georgi Dimitrov, even though it is a foreign award. It also seems to have stopped being added to c1976.
