Re: Fake Medals for Bravery

Sooooooooooooooooo, pls real or fake pls.

I know one is supposed to be a Yugoslavian BM. The other 30 year victory over Germany. Connecting ring is perpindicular to the medallion. Haven't seen this one before.

Thanks!

Re: Fake Medals for Bravery

Norm, they both look real to me - and the Yugoslavian ones are not that expensive.:thumbsup I've never seen that Bulgarian one before, but it looks real enough (BTW, most Bulgarian medals have that type of ring - cheaper and easier to make that way, if I had to guess).

Jens, I've never seen one with such a low number, much less somebody selling one, so I couldn't even guess - but I didn't want you to think I was ignoring you.;)

I'd be surprised if the BM's fake and shocked outta my shorts if the other one was. And all my Bulgarians have that funny connecting ring. I think it was Bulgaria's way of thumbing their nose at the Russians. ;)

If yes - what price should I expect for this one ?
What's Paul think about the screwplate, original? My guess is yes.
My guess on price is right around $200.

Re: Fake Medals for Bravery

Screwback plate appears original.

$200 is extremely low ball - it would not last long at that price.

Jens, please let us know what the price is when it sells. I'm very curious.

I'm glad someone else weighed in on this one. These don't show up very much anymore and this is about what I would guess too.

Re: Fake Medals for Bravery

To be honest-it is likely that 800 bucks is light. The market fluctuates and as Ericsky said, dependent on the buyer.
