Order Of Precedence

These are currently the awards that the Vietnamese government, council of ministers have awarded to the people and army for their outstanding feats in the cause of fighting, constructing, safeguarding the fatherland from 1946 onwards– under Article 100 of the Constitution of Vietnam.

Orders and decorations were designed in 1947 by the Vietnamese artists. Incorperating features from the Orders and medals of France, Soviet Union, and China and were then submitted to and approved by President Ho Chi Minh. The initial orders and decorations were made in China instead of Vietnam since it was during a time of critical war. Later, Orders and decorations were domestically made by the Vietnam People’s Army.
