Our Order Of Saint Aleksandr.

Here is a 6th May 1942 dated Officer's Cross Of Our Order Of Saint Aleksandr Document awarded to Lieutenant-Colonel Asen Iliev Mаrkov, Commander of Pontoon Forces.

Although the reason why this was awarded will be lost to time. Lt-Col Mаrkov will have been very instrumental in Pontooning German forces over the Danube from Romania on their way southward to Yugoslavia and Greece.

Re: Our Order Of Saint Aleksandr.

It is indeed (as nearly everything I have posted).
I really appreciate when a recipient's position is listed (if nothing else).

There is a large backlog of Bulgarian Imperial Awards to post but the extra large and 100+ year old documents don't enjoy being scanned. There are researched Balkan Wars Awards and even a set of military maps a soldier documented his advance on - none of which will scan.
