Some people may be remember famous Soviet conductor of Soviet Army Orkestra A. Aleksandrov.
Here is set of medal, badge and document issued by Ministry of Defence of Russia.
It looks great.

I have no idea. I found this on Internet, and the set brought memories of old times and Aleksandrov's performances.

The medal has a text on the reverse: For effort in development of military music.
Btw. The badbe seems to commemorate 100th anniversary of general BORIS Alexandrov?!

Here is the Medal "Major-General Aleksandr Aleksandrov". Founded by Order #317 of 2nd August 2005 and awarded to military and civilian personnel of the armed forces, retired or reserve veterans of the armed forces, civilians and foreigners "For great personal contribution to the development and popularisation of the military-patriotic music and the development of Russian army music culture".
