Brief description of personal feats or merits On 26.1.1945 during the decisive assault of the enemy’s fortified quarters of Budapest, in the critical battle’s moment, he substituted on his initiative the spotter, who had to leave his position and as a result of the skillful fire’s laying of his cannon he destroyed three enemy machine-gun positions and up to 10 enemy soldiers and officers, thus giving the possibility to the advancing infantry to advance. For skillfully controlling the fire of the cannon, as a result of which the enemy’s firing means were destroyed, and ensuring the success of his units, Comrade STEL’MASCHUK deserves the awarding of the order of “GLORY 3rd CLASS”.
