Type 1, variety 2.

Document for a 6 July 1955 award to Hamdi Hasan Hasan.

His citation reads;

"The Medal Of Labour
His distinguished untiring work in the sector of works and his mobilisation of duty implementations that are inspiring by giving such a good contribution in the realisation of the state plan."

Here's the very first type Medal. Showing what seems to be some very honest wear and dirt.

Here's a Type 2. The quality is rather lacking in comparison.

Awarded to Comrade Selime Hamza Hamzaraj on 7th June 1968 by Decree #4401 for "Employee of distinction, has worked tirelessly in realising and surpassing the state plan".

Type 3 with the vertical kolodka pin.

By this stage in production almost every Medal was different due to very poor (if any existed) quality control.

It is likely none of these were awarded.

Here is a fairly late Type 2 awarded to Ikbale Muhamet Luarasi on 25th November 1981 by Decree 6459 (which I can not yet find).

"For good work in the system of archive materials, becoming an example to others".

An award to an archivist - for me (who has been awarded in part for archiving) it doesn't get much better than that!

If only he could have put the decree somewhere more accessible!

Here is a rather blotchy Type 3 - straight off of the stockpile of unissued awards. They must be stored somewhere damp as the pin has rusted.

Here is another fully researched Medal from 56 years ago today.

"Worker of distinction, they have for a long term worked at State Industrial Enterprise "Goma" (Rubber) Durrës and have mobilised with all their force in the realisation or fulfilment of the state plan. Realising a rate of labour of 120%.

25th November 1958
Decree #2801.

"Goma" in Durrës produced Rubber (Wellington) Boots. There is a film of their production line from around that time available to view online.

Here is an 11th August 1984 award by Decree #6905 to Behije Qazim Marku.

"Is distinguished in the fulfilling and the surpassing the tasks of the sector of labour, becoming an example for others".

Unfortunately the Decree is MIA so which sector that is is as yet unknown.
