The Cukiernik Family

Here is a vast archive of pieces to three generations of the Cukiernik family of Kościan. Starting with the senior generation we have Ignacy Cukiernik born 21st January 1883 in Osiek, German Empire (now Kościan County).

Here is his 17th December 1949 dated trade union membership card. Showing membership since 1st October 1945 and paid up to 17th December 1957. A factory worker well into his 70's.

His 9th January 1954 insurance card showing a daughter Maria born 2nd July 1919, a time of great turbulence in the young modern Poland and a son Czesław born 6th July 1911. A third child Henryk was born 11th January 1922.

Finally for Ignacy, a 1957 dated ticket. There is a reason why the group to someone who lived through such an eventful time in Poland is so small and "late".

His son Henryk donated at least 20 years worth of items to the Museum Of Polish Arms in Kołobrzeg 1980. A story that can be unearthed at a later date.

Next generation we have his son Heryk's 18th May 1946 Temporary Identification indicating a birth date of 11th January 1922.

His 1946-7 School Identification.

His 26th June 1946 dated report for the same school year. Doing universally well including in Polish, Latin and French.

His 27th August 1948 dated Association Of Polish Youth membership and a 27th October 1949 dated Polish United Party Of Workers note indicating his position as an regional committee instructor.
