Awarded to Sergej Il'ich Litvinov on 4th February 1945. Later a Junior Lieutenant awarded his Medal "For Combat Merits" for long service in 1953 - which is probably when it was noticed that he hadn't been issued his wartime Medal.

Corporal - Commander Of A Section, 6th Rifle Company - Litvinov, Sergej Il'ich for that, that he in battle while breaking the enemy defence in the region north of the town of Pułtusk whilst advancing forward with his section skilfully bypassed enemy fire points, which hampered the progress of our infantry and destroyed them and two enemy soldiers, clearing the path for further advance of his subunits.
