Permanent home address of the prospective awardee and the address of his family: ______________ Short, concrete description of his combat feat or merits: Guards Sergeant Major Comrade Ladnykh has been in the Red Army since 10.12.1937 and a participant in the Patriotic War from 10.16.1943. From the banks of the river Don to the centre of Germany – Berlin, together with his regiment he travelled on their glorious path of combat. Whilst in the infantry combat formations he fired his weapon competently, destroying the enemy breakout. At the bridgehead of the river Dniester he actively participated in the reflection of enemy counterattacks supported by mechanized units, he contributed by ensuring the subdivisions had everything necessary in the difficult moments of the fighting, reinforcing them with units who arrived as replenishments from sections of the division. In the fierce fighting for the city of Berlin he proved himself brave and courageous soldier of the Red Army, performing his combat tasks. For his courage and bravery in battle he is worthy of the governmental award – the Order of the Red Star.
