Re: What Type of Belt?
A GPW-era enlisted field belt? I'm not an equipment expert but it looks much like one.

Re: What Type of Belt?
I'm even less of a GPW field gear guy, but the thinness of the belt makes me think of young Pioneers rather than soldiers hauling ammo, canteens, bayonets, etc. I know if somebody gave me a belt that short and thin and then handed me a holster, some bullets and a pair of grenades, I'd take the pistol from the holster, load it with the bullets and make the other guy wear the belt and carry the grenades for me.:D
Just a thought.:) Phillip

Re: What Type of Belt?
it could be a belt that hold the uniform trousers on wrist. (trenchik) . The solders belt with buckle goes over it.

Re: What Type of Belt?
Ok. I wouldn't have thought it's from the GPW period, but if it is, that's great.

Re: What Type of Belt?
I think it'd be an under belt for trousers and what not, hidden by the tunic.
