Here are two other pictures of railroad bages with screwpost.
Compare the rivets. In the suspension version they are short and the badges with screwpost have a long wire. I am not totally convinced that they are home made. I saw a few of them with screwbacks. Sorry I have no pictures without screwpost. In Tanjas case, the screw is perfectly fixed and looks not as home made. regrads Andreas Last edited by Alfred; 08-19-2007 at 03:28 AM. |

The badge on the right is correct. This is not an "Honorable Railroad Worker" badge. There are letters MPS and the badge is bigger. This badge was awarded to Railroad ORGANIZATIONS and would be placed on the flags or banners. BTW this badge is rare and more expensive.
The badge on the left, I still think is home made scewback, changed from the susprnsion. Here are examples from my collection, - and they are 100% correct. Eric |

Why does the insignia not have any number?
It is not anything definitely filed. |

Tanja,
It could be unissued stock, or "newly minted" if you see what I mean. Construction and metal seem to be different from earlier ones. Marc |
