Unknown Badges
Please can anyone advise with reference to these two items. The one I think is a Border Guards Badge (??????????).
The cavalry badge (?) is approx 4cms deep by3.5cms wide. Screw back fixing with no apparent markings. Blue and red enamelling onbrass. Inscription reads "ОСОАВИАХИМ СССР". The other item is 4cms deep X 2.5cms wide. Hollow-backed - I think brass - with the letters "ММД". Fixing is by means of two tabs on rear of badge. Would be grateful for identification and also time period. |

Hello,
the right badge is a badge for an "Excellent Cavalryman" 1930s model. These badges were issued by the OSOAVIAKhIM paramilitary organization, mostly to military men. There are made a lot of copies from these badge. The left badge is dedicated to the red army. It´s from the 50´s. regards Andreas By the way there is a section for badges |

Both badges are fake.
Are they from the same dealer as the other order? Rusty.

Both enamels look cheap. Can you post photos of the reverse with the screwplate removed?
