award flag

Its real, but also real common. They are factory award banners issued for civilian award purposes. They were given out in huge numbers and canbe found in Moscow by the dozen. They sell for about $90-$120 here in the USA.

The writing is the standard -in the name of marxism-leninsm-...etc.

It's a 25th anniversary banner of the 222nd Red Guard Motorized-rifle division, holder of the order of Lenin from the "locals"

Rusty.

the fact that it was awarded to a military unit makes it worth more than if it were awarded to a factory, even though its awarded by civilians. You can double the value to about $300 or so.

Actual translation

The actual translation is:

Under the banner of Marxism-Leninism, under the leadership of the Communist Party - forward to the victory of communism!

Hey Tal, how do you like them copying YOUR slogan?! :D
