Bugrin, Vladimir Petrovich, Aviation Engineer

My understanding of these docs was that he attended a certain school, did very well in his studies and was given an "honour" coin? (Only took pic of the top half of the doc).

Honour or school coin???

An honor coin for studies...?

"For Outstanding Success and Exemplary Behavior" - sounds like an honor coin for doing well in school. One of those is a transcript listing grades received, and the other (a diploma) also show a span of time spent in school. I'm having trouble reading the scan on my tiny notebook screen, but I guess t was some sort of military school - higher than "secondary" education?

I've seen these coins in both silver and very nice gold.

Norm,

This is a high-school graduation medal. These exist, as Kirchgoens mentioned, in 2 grades ("classes"): silver and gold. The reverse shows the coat of arms of the issuing republic. Silver medals are given with a blue cover diploma, gold medals are given with a red cover diploma; usual diplomas have an olive cover.

The first document hown is a transcript from the Novocherkas Suvorov Military Cadet School, which he joint in 1949. The second is a Diploma from Kharkov Higher Aviation Engineering School, from which he graduated in 1961 with the title of military engineer-electrician.

Docs 2

Fellas, Im not certain what some of the booklets are. One appears to be a driver's license. Would appreciate your comments on all of the above.:thumbsup

The docs in the Docs 1 and Docs 2 are not the same, are they?
In Docs 1, from left to right, a Ukrainian version of the Communist Party registration card, the Diploma (discussed above), then in grey (I am guessing) the school graduation certificate (you call it high school, in other places it is secondary school); the last one is the membership card from VLKSM (young Communist's League).

In Docs 2, left column: top picture is the award doc for the Aviation-Engineering School badge; bottom - driver's license.
Right column, top picture - don't know, could be the Army Card.
Bottom - Communist Party membership document. In the last one, if you managed to get a better scan of the righ hand side you could find out where the person was working at the time he joined the Communist Party. It was somewhere in Harkiv.

Hi Sergei, thank you for the help!:thumbsup

The docs in 1&2 are separate entities thus 8 all together not including the docs for the medals which were not shown. I'll try to post a better scan.

More about the student coin in post No. 2 above...

These coins also appear to be republic-specific. I just picked one up in gold that was issued by the UzSSR. The text on one side is in Russian, and in Uzbek on the other. The basic design on one side essentially matches what is in posting no. 2 above except that on mine the text is Uzbek on that side. I guess that leaves the potential for some completionist collector out there to possibly have these for all 16 or 15 republics? Ah, the torment! :) I'm glad they are not my thing. ;)
