Not a mistake, but I would say "devushka" is closer "girl" than "woman". Interesting that this word was used in an official document

Thank you, I have made the necessary corrections to her name in the posts. I thought the use of "девушка" of interest, however the fact remained, Private Korsun was young, only 20 or 21 years old at the time. She was also alive in 1985 and would have only been 60 or 61 years old when she received her Jubilee Order of the Patriotic War in 2nd Class, although given the spelling of her middle name here, Тимофеевна, this may be for another person entirely.

It may be a case that she got her '85 with a married name. Unfortunately there is a selection of 58 Мария Трофимовнаs currently.
