Hi Lapa,

If you are right, and the bronze medals have 3 indentations, then I guess the medal on my previous post does not go with the certificate. I translated the text as a GOLD award through Babelfish. Any thoughts?

It is not Komsomol, I think that it is from a USSR jubilee badges. In any case, the medal does not belong to it.

Marc is right. It is the suspension of one of the 50th Year of the Formation of the USSR pins.

Can you please indicate if there are any indentation on the edge at the bottom on the reverse of each medals, and if so what they are.

I don't know how you managed to notice that, but I sure didn't. If you look at the photo of the reverse of the badges, the one on the right side has 3 evenly spaced indentation on the bottom rim center. Looks like someone put them there. The center silver looking badge don't have any. The left one has a few ding marks around the edge; one near the bottom.

I just look at two other brass colored badges that I have and they also have the same 3 indentations on the bottom rim.

I do not know what the indentations are for.
