Factories at Stalingrad
Does anyone out there have a good link or reference for the day-by-day fighting at Stalingrad? I recently picked up research to a group for the commander of the 109th Rifle Regiment, 37th Guards Rifle Division for the defense of the factories (may have been the same one) "ST3" and "Barricadi" from 3 to 14 October 1942. It talks about the defense of said factories against tanks, battalions of German soldiers, etc. Pretty impressive! Any help finding references regarding the defense of these points during this time would be appreciated! Thanks!

Factories at Stalingrad
Dave,
here are a few pictures from factories of Stalingrad. 1. In the north of Stalingrad a anti tank gun and tank factory 2. The metallurgy factory Red Oktober 3. In the north of the so called "tennis racket" railway track is the factory Red Oktober and the tennis racket belongs to the chemical factory Lazur. 4. There are oil and fuel factories. In the north of Stalingrad are industry and factories. In the south are housing and living areas. Last edited by Alfred; 01-18-2005 at 12:16 AM. |
