Comrade Petrenko works in the position of head of the clothing warehouse of the unit in the performance of his duties during the time of military activities with Japanese invaders from 9th August 1945 with personal initiative supplied the unit with produce. Despite of difficult traversable terrain crossing the Great Hingan Ridge where there was a lack in presence of water Petrenko 11th August 1945 personally sought out water and delivered it to the unit. 13th August 1945 Petrenko returned from a return journey for produce within 2 days covering a distance of 400Km. providing the unit with produce, even despite the difficult delivery, the unit all throughout combat activities were fully supplied with produce, that helped in the performance of combat tasks of the unit.

Conclusion. For manifesting courage and initiative in supplying the unit with produce Comrade Petrenko is worthy of the Governmental Award Medal "For Combat Merits".
