Ministry Of War Personal Cards.

Here is a Personal Card to Reserve Sergeant Major Stojan Hristov Kasov issued in Sofia in November 1942.
Although Kasov is older than Bulgaria (born 26th February 1875) and is first reported as a Sergeant Major it is impossible that he did not see service before the issue of this identification but it is not recorded. It is extremely likely that he served in the Balkan and European Wars (1912, 1913, 1915-18).
It has him reporting in Gurguljat (famous for the actions in the 1885-6 war) on 31st December 1942, 30th June 1943 and 30th June 1944 (All before Bulgaria was at war with the Soviet Union, 5th September 1944).

Re: Ministry Of War Personal Card.

Here is a Personal Card issued to Corporal Georgi Stojanov Nikolov of the 3rd Army-Armoured Vehicle Battalion on 2nd August 1944.

Nikolov most likely participated in the Drava Operation in March 1945 as the 3rd Army-Armoured Vehicle Battalion was part of IV Corps of the First Bulgarian Army under the 3rd Ukrainian Front at the time. Positioned just south of Pécs.

The second covers 1st July 1943 until June 1946 showing him as a Major in the 2nd Horse Brigade. It also lists his personal sidearms; Parabellum 9mm #7809 and Zbrojovka 7.65mm #182329.
