Fake Preservation of Public Order Medals
Hi everyone.
I got this medal for reasonable price, and it looks very good to me but I still can't make myself to put it with my collection without this forum experts OK. Medals is right size, weight,no poke marks under magnification, very good overall details, ring seems to be the way it should, ribbon was replaced. The only thing that makes me worry is a thin line on the reverse starting from a ring and goes across the star at 12 O'clock. Again picture quality isn't the best(doesn't show much detail) Whats you guys think, did i just got scammed ??? Thanks Kare'n |

Nexorcist,
Based upon what I can see (that is 1/2 medal and poor details), it seems to be in the norm. Can you simply put your medal on a flatbed scanner and scan it at 600 dpi BOTH SIDES!!! Marc |

Nexorcist,
What's the correct weight/size for this variation? Thanks, Sergei |

Size is 32mm, I'm not sure about exact weight but holding the medal feels very solid and heavy. Its var 3 made of nickel silver. Again the only thing that worries me is a thin line across star on reverse.
Lapa I did as you told me, so here are 2 more 600dpi scans (after i crop them it doesn't look as good. See if this will be enough). Thanks again. Last edited by Nexorcist; 11-01-2007 at 10:03 PM. |

NEXORCIST,
I am leaning towards OK, but these scans are not sharp enough. If you wish you can e-mail me some better scans. Alexei |

Nexorcist,
I like it, beside some reservation about the reverse side of the ring. Let's see what Alexei says ;) Marc |
