I am afraid that I seen these for sale in Russia and the USA for about $5 each (less in Russia). The entire range 1, 10, 50, 100, 500 and 1000 seem to be eqally available. I am afraid that that makes me suspicious.

There is nothing wrong with the badge.
They are just easily available. One of those badges that is attractive and cheap. If you have ever parachuted it makes it speak even more. Enjoy it, but only the pre war types command any real money The scan is from Avers 1 You have the 1968 type, enclosed is a scan of same type flank by two different constructions for 1955 versions. Five Dollars, I saw a group of five or six 100 to 500 on the web today, the complete collection was 25 dollars.
