Lermontov Bust.

Goodday my fellow Soviet collectors!

I found this bust recently on a Dutch auction website, and bought it for the reasonable price of 10 euros (some 13 dollars). The only problem was that I did not know who it represented. I have searched online but didn't find any matches. There is Cyrillic text on the back of the bust, but is isn't easy to decipher due to the casting, the only thing I can find is that it's made in 1962. I was wondering if somebody knew who he is?

The text on the back is most likely the name of the manufacture and the signature of the sculptor.

Now, you are the proud owner of a bust of.... Mikhail Yuryevich Lermontov.

Thanks Lapa! I think he will find a nice place next to Lenin in my book shelf

. I just saw one on the famous auction website for 99 dollars, so I think I did good!

Haha, I think some 700-900 grams.
