Re: Gramotas.
Here is a KGB GSSR awarded Gramota to Konstantin Aleksandrovich Israeljan (sounds like a Jewish Armenian name), "For high production performance and successful implementation of socialist obligations in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the formation of the U.S.S.R.".

Re: Gramotas.
Here's a "Commendation Sheet" to Guards Junior Sgt. Ramshik Bahshuevich Danilov dated November 1957 by Military Post 26045.
Stalin seems to have gone AWOL.

Suhotskij, Vladimir Mihailovich, Starshina 1st Class, Submarine "K-45"
Presenting here a set of three award certificates to Petty Officer Vladimir Mikhailovich Sukhotsky. Sukhotsky earned all three certificates and two promotions while serving on the submarine K-45 during its sea trials in 1961.
An excellent history of the K-45 can be found here. It had an eventful career all the way until the 1990's. One of its more interesting tasks was shadowing US carriers in the Golf of Tonkin in 1972. Captain Victor Grigorievich Belashev, the ship's first captain, signed all three certificates (note, he was also promoted during the voyage). Belashev later reached the rank of Vice-Admiral and served as commander of the 10th Submarine Division and 4th Submarine Flotilla. He was killed in an aviation accident in 1981. All the certificates are in great condition. The submarine artwork is quite neat! The combo of two sub designs and one general armed forces is interesting. But the best part of the group is that the history can be pinpointed. Enjoy! Alex Translations: To Petty Officer 2nd Class Sukhotsky, Vladimir Mikhailovich For active social work during the period of the voyage Commander of Military Post 60222 Captain 3rd Rank Belashev 19 March 1961 To Petty Officer 1st Class Sukhotsky, Vladimir Mikhailovich For zealous fulfillment of his official duty Commander of Military Post 60222 Captain 3rd Rank Belashev 18 August 1961 Certificate of Merit To Chief Petty Officer Sukhotsky, Vladimir Mikhailovich For successes in military and political training and irreproachable service in the ranks of the Armed Forces of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics I award you with a Certificate of Merit. I express my confidence that you will continue to serve as an example of conscientious performance of one’s patriotic duty to our great Motherland - the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. Commander of Military Post 60222 Captain 2nd Rank Belashev 30 November 1961 Last edited by RedMaestro2; 09-21-2012 at 10:38 PM. |

Here's another purchase from the forum marketplace and my favourite seller.
A May 1975 Gramota to A. N. Melitauri which reads "Central Committee DOSAAF Georgian SSR awards Comrade A. Melitauri for successfully judging the final competition of the VI Republic sports festival of Georgia on road rally". A June 1975 Gramota for the motorcycle events. A May 1977 Gramota for the Rally "Georgia-77" And finally April 1979 Gramota for the Rally "Tbilisi 79". Finally showing Melitauri wasn't a one trick pony. A 3rd Class Diploma for coming third in the Tbilisi City Rugby Championships playing for Tbilisi State University team. Dating from June 1964.
