Some Ink Stamps Observed on Fake Documents

Here are some original ink seals often found on fake award documents. This doesn't mean, of course, that you can't find one of those on an original document.

1, Department of the Fortified Areas of the Stalingrad Front

2, Military Unit # 06951 (this one is worn and not very clear)

3, Military Commissariat of the Moldavian Republic # 2 (note the damage on the stamp)

4, Department of the Counter-intelligence "SMERSH" of the Karelian Front

5, Peoples Commissariat of the Internal Affairs. For Executive and Financial Documents

6, Headquarters of the 1st Special Designation Order of the Red Banner Army

7, Peoples Commissariat of Defence. Department of the Counter-intelligence "SMERSH" of the 211th Rifles Army

8, Personnel Department of the 8th Guards Army

9, Headquarters of the 9th Air Army

10, Ukrainian Headquarters of the Partisan Movement (typically found on temporary award documents)

11, Executive Committee of the Dnepropetrovsk Region (this one was found on a fake award card for Medal for the Restoration of the Black Metallurgical Enterprises of the South)
