Medal "Distinguished Ministry Of Metal Industry Worker".

I think this is a Ministerial award but would appreciate any input.

The obverse:
"Federal ministry of foundry, machine and electrotechnic industry."
The reverse:
"Minister of (as above) of Czechoslovak Socialist Republic [to] (no idea what's "uvos") worker of metal industry"

Probably for distinguished metal industry worker.

ÚVOS - Ústřední výbor odborového svazu (pracovníků kovoprůmyslu) - is shortcut for pivotal (main) commission of labour union of metal workers...

It's good to know. Now it's clear to me why I couldn't find it in my dictionary - there's no "shortcuts" section there. Thanks!

Thank you for the info! Sometimes I wonder why I chose Communist medals to collect cause I don't know the languages. But I do have fun finding out.
I get Czechoslovakian stuff like this from time to time and keep them for myself cause I don't see them very often.
Any idea on how common or not these are?
