Re: Budionnovka - opinons please
Hello,
what do you think about this Budionnovka. There are a few stamps in the cap. The buttons are cloth covered and the front star is made out of one pice. thanks and best regards Andreas |

Re: Budionnovka - opinons please
Without saying real or fake (everyone has an opinion on buds it seems), I will say that the cloth star is unlike any I have seen before.

Re: Budionnovka - opinons please
My opinion is that one must really hold one of these in hand and compare it with other examples - both authentic and reproduction - whilst holding those in hand also... :whistler
This one is an odd example of, or was intended to simulate - an Air Force "Border Guards" Budionovka - with the blue body and the star of green with a "raspberry" edging. I have seen only one specimen with such a cloth star - one that was backed with another coloured fabric - and it was an earlier model than this one, and did not represent the branch above. --------------------------------------------------------------- BTW - The star-cockarde is an example that was intended for Naval Beskozirka - pattern of 1943. |
