Militia General M43
I was playing with my "dolls" in my office, swapping out a few tunics and thought the militia guys out there might like this one. Undated 16 republic buttons in a large size (it would be like a US 44 or bigger). Material is gorgeous with an almost cashmere feel to it. Not just a big man but obviously up there in militia hierarchy.

General
Its a nice tunic; its M1943 style, but actually its M1947 introduction. the M1943 had a lighter blue color and blue piping; in 1947 it was changed ( see thread on the M1943 parade NKVD-Militia General I posted).

Got it.
Will correct the database. Had forgotten about piping color change. I yield to the master.

tunic
It is a very nice tunic! Militia generals items from 1943-1947 era are very tough to find.
here is an M1943 parade nkvd-militia general; the tunic was with a friend who brought it over for the SOS, but the hat just came over. the cap has an army generals cap badge, not the correct police one (there are several possible reasons for this)...in a new home now, but one of the most striking uniforms I have had in recently. i did a thread on a seperate tunic like this awhile back.
