Chemical Instructor 3rd Section, Guards Red Army Soldier Kuts, Andrej Tihonovich, was awarded the Medal "For The Defence Of Stalingrad" for that, during the period of combat from 5th July to 15th August 1943 picked up on the field of battle 148 gas masks, that were secured for the personal staff of the section.

Gun loader 3rd Section, Guards Junior Sergeant Kuts, Andrej Tihonovich, was awarded the Medal "For Combat Merits", for that, while breaking heavily fortified enemy defences near the river Väike Emajõgi, Estonian SSR 14th September 1944, while until heavy enemy artillery-mortar and machinegun fire with the crew of the gun, direct fire destroyed 3 heavy and 1 handheld enemy machinegun, one 75mm gun which stood in direct fire and up to 10 enemy soldiers, which allowed the advance of our infantry forward.
