5 pointed star with red enamel and white surround. Blue circle centre with what appears to be hands shaking. The ribbon appears to be red, grey and yellow stripe.

Can't provide a photo at this time. I wonder if anyone can identify it by this description.:confused:

Sounds like the Soldier Internationalist medal by the description, however that has a plain red ribbon on a small suspension.

And the ribbon you described is the one for the 60th anniversary medal of the Soviet AF.
