Lenin.

Any "serious' collector knows this prototype order of Lenin. Recently I learned about another,which looks like the later design, but with the old style inner medallion - like the Tractor order of Lenin. (Shishkov/Muzalevski book, Vol 1, pp 25). I would like to know about this example, and if someone knows about more prototypes.

The third picture is a transition between Tractor Lenin and later design.

Good question Tal, wish I had more information for you, but for what it's worth Durov shows another picture of the above prototype in his book "Russian and Soviet Military Awards" on page 74.

Here is the Tractor variation of the Order of Lenin. Picture is from Paul McDaniels book, The Comprehensive Guide to Soviet Orders and Medals.

I have a freind who has one of those "tarktor" order of Lenin With award ducument. He also have Kutuzov 3rd class on suspenssion. What a lucky guy...

Dear Friends,

I just had to share this one with you. It's a type 4, variation 1 "Platinum Head" Order of Lenin with Mondvor mintmark. Serial number is 353, making it a replacement issue for type 1 "Tractor".

This must also have been a replacement for an earlier issue. Look at the issue date 1 April 1935. Order Book issued in 1941.
