Badge "1st May".

A friend asked me to post this:
Hi Guys, were there lots of different designs of Soviet May Day badges or was the same design used for several years? I have got this May Day Badge and judging by the quality or construction, etc. I would assume that it should be quite an early one? Is it possible to put a date on this one? Cheers, Torsten.

Is it possible that this "badge" is bulgarian? It looks like their manufacture...

I am not convinced of the Bulgarian connection. Manufacturing-wise, it looks very 1950's to me.

My guess was 55-60, judging by the quality of maunfacture.
But that was just a guess, and I have no clue what the badge commemorates even.

It does commemorate the 1st of May.
I was thinking of Bulgaria because of the "flat" front and the kind of metal. Icannot post a picture right now, but bulgarian badges/pins usually looked like this.
