Uniform sizing

On a Russian uniform size, what does the number after the dash mean? For example, in 52-3 what does 3 mean?

Russians use a 5 point scale, from 1 (smallest among the slimest) to 5 (the other end of the scale).

so 52-3 would mean the guy has 42" (russian chest size subtract 10 is american) chest and is a 3 with 1 being slimmest.

uniform sizing

Isn't the -x for height? During my time in Moscow, the dealers explained that the tack number was for height: 1 for short, 5 for tall.
